Please Pray for Guyana 🇬🇾

Guyana is more than just a place on a map to us—its family. For over 20 years, weve had the privilege of serving, loving, and sharing the hope of Christ with the people of this beautiful nation.

This week, our hearts were shattered by the tragic news from Region 1. A large boat carrying nearly 180 passengers, including many children, capsized. These boats are essential for families traveling from villages to access medical care, supplies, and visit loved ones. Tragically, many precious lives were lost, and an entire nation is grieving.

Weve walked through many of these villages, worshipped with these communities, and built lasting friendships over the years. Today, we grieve with them.

Please lift the people of Guyana up in prayer. Pray for every family mourning the loss of a loved one. Pray that God will bring peace in the midst of heartbreak, strength for the days ahead, and comfort that only He can provide.

To our friends throughout Guyana, please know that you are deeply loved. We are praying for you, standing with you, and believing God will carry you through this unimaginable loss. 🇬🇾❤️

🎮 Gaming!!
It is part of many kids lives—but it can also be where predators look for opportunities. Make sure you have parental controls set on your devices.
Online grooming is still a real risk. Predators use game chats and fake identities to slowly gain a childs trust.

The first warning signs are often behavioral:
⚠️ Withdrawal from family and friends
⚠️ Mood swings or unusual secrecy
⚠️ Changes in eating or sleeping habits

Your greatest protection is your relationship with your child. Stay involved, keep conversations open, and create a safe space where they know they can always come to you.

Connection...Leads to Prevention.

Oh my, I have coached kids out of this very thing. Even seemingly harmless sites that are kid approved have adults breaching the safety parameters. And even the very intellectual young person can be fooled as they are naive and think they’ve made trustworthy friends. I’m not sure how I would do it as a young parent these days, but maybe no gaming unless I’m playing too. I pray for parents and their children to have wisdom and protection when needed.

Our team is safely back home in the USA after an incredible mission trip to Guyana, South America! 🇬🇾❤️

God moved in amazing ways, and we can't wait to share stories of the lives touched, the ministry that took place, and all that was accomplished during this trip.

Thank you for joining us through your prayers and support. Stay tuned—we have so much to share! ❤️

Parent Safety Tips 💙

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is knowing they can come to you—without fear, shame, or judgment. Open, honest communication is one of the most powerful tools we have to help keep children safe.

Whether youre having proactive conversations or youre noticing some red flags, these tips can help guide you:

💙 Listen without judgment. Sometimes children just need to know they will be believed and heard.

💙 Assist and take action. If something doesnt feel right, trust your instincts. You dont have to figure it all out alone.

💙 Remain calm. This can be incredibly difficult, but your child will notice your emotions. Staying calm helps them feel safe enough to keep talking.

💙 Respect their boundaries. This doesnt mean ignoring concerns—it means not pushing so hard that they shut down. Give them opportunities to open up at their own pace while continuing to remind them youre there whenever theyre ready.

💙 Help them identify trusted adults. Dont just tell your child to find a safe person. Help them recognize who those trusted adults are before they ever need them.

💙 Be kind to yourself. These conversations arent easy. Give yourself grace. No parent has all the answers, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Protecting children starts with relationships built on trust, love, and communication. Keep the conversation going. Ask questions. Listen more than you speak. Let your child know they can tell you anything and that you will walk through it together.

If you need guidance on how to have these conversations or youre concerned about a child, were here to help. You dont have to navigate this journey alone.💙
